I think espn wants this trade to happen even more than the teams do. They've had a new story pretty much every day from their "sources". What a joke.

This trade is great for the Pistons. The Nuggets & Nets, not so much. If this happens, the Nuggets are going to have way too many guards and no small forwards. We should try and snag Afflalo or JR Smith from them.

Why are we even talking about this if Melo signing an extension is part of it? I thought he'd put it to bed that he won't do that. Why on earth would he?

If this trade goes down, I give Melo a 3% chance of signing the extension with the Nyets, and that would only be because he'd be worried about not being able to make as much under the new CBA.

Yeah, they'd be bad this year and probably next year, but their future would look quite bright and they'd probably bounce back quickly. Sucks for us.

Do you guys think Coach Karl is done after this year? I doubt he'll want to do the whole rebuilding thing. He's obviously got his health concerns, although he says he feels better than he has in 10 years. I'm guessing he'll either retire or look for a better job.

Amare is now the most hated player in New Jersey. I wonder how this fits in with collusion rules. It seems different for players under-contract to talk like this compared to free agents.

I'm mainly cheering for NY because they are already decent. I'd rather have 1 quite good team and 1 shitty one than two decent ones. Plus this could lead the way for yet another star PG going to NYC from the Western Conference. If a Knicks team can get good while making 3 playoff caliber teams bad in the West that would be great.
