Nene.

The Knicks already score among the most points in the league per game with 106.

They already have a glut of wing players.

Carmelo wants a super max deal, while Nene wouldn't command that.

NY desperately needs another big man so that Amar'e doesn't have to be the #1 enforcer/big man/rebounder.

Nene is going to be a free agent, like Melo.

How does this NOT make sense?

Denver wants cap relief, pick(s), and young guys. Trading for Nene would (presumably) mean NY could trade them less. They can give Curry (cap relief), a pick (or I guess Anthony Randolph because there were rumors Denver now wants him), and one of Chandler/Fields/Gallinari (probably Fields.)

Does this not make sense? Nene would be a beast next to Amare, and it's exactly what the Knicks need. Nene is already very good, and I'd say he has a chance at being the AS starter with YAO out. He leads the league in FG%. He's a solid rebounder and defender.

If I was Donnie Walsh, that's what I'd do. That's EC Championship contention right there.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Nene has a player option for next year. Do you think he'll opt out of the $11M? I'd think he'd be the one guy the Nuggets would want to keep around.

The number of teams who Nene wouldn't significantly upgrade is short.

I think he'll opt-out if Denver goes into rebuild mode, which seems likely. I mean, Carmelo is as good as gone. Billups will be gone soon, or this off-season (low dollar amount buyout) at the latest.

The Nuggets can't really keep him if he ops out because he doesn't want to stick around.

Can you imagine Nene on the Heat? Oh lord, that would be insane. Nene on the Heat or Knicks = EC Championship contention for sure. Those two teams would probably be upgraded the most, just thinking off the top of my head.

It's a real shame the Heat don't have an young stud SF prospect to trade for a veteran Center right now. A crying shame.

Boy was I laughing my ass off seeing Chalmers brick that tying 3 last night.

Think what they could do if they could have put that money for Mike Miller/Big Z/Magloire/Dampier towards a real center. They would be unstoppable. Joel Anthony is a fine backup center. Those three they have that I just listed all suck donkey balls.

Won't it be pretty much a given that Nene will accept his player option with the uncertainty of the CBA?

And like pants said I'd think that he'd be one of the guys that Denver wants to keep if they go into rebuild mode along with Afflalo and Ty Lawson.
