Another good read. Pretty much no stats say Rose should be MVP. It's only people that think he deserves it because the Bulls are winning. If that's the case, then give it to someone on the Spurs, because they have the best record.

Playing the numbers game in basketball’s MVP debate

Solid article. It hits on how there is something jaw dropping about Rose's game. Part of his edge there has to come from die-hard NBA fans being so used to watching Howard and James. But a lot of it is just that he is clearly about to become the next super duper star.

I'll trust the hell out of Rose come playoff time. If Durant or Rose make it to the finals that guy probably is the medias best player of that age group.

Rose's attitude is clearly infectious. Deng has always seems fairly unassuming but this year he has a fire in his belly and he goes after it every play. He finishes hard at the rim and he plays tough as hell on defense. I hope that jerk Boozer doesn't screw it up for the Bulls.

Yeah, it was a good article for sure. Bruce Arthur is a great writer. I like his stuff.

I know I am posting all these anti-Rose4MVP articles, but don't get me wrong... I LOVE Rose. I sooooo desperately wanted him on the TWolves since his senior year in high school, and never ever waivered on that. I was sad when we didn't win that lottery.

Yes, Rose is a great player with a great attitude. He's just NOT the MVP this year. That's all I'm getting at. I love him and his game. And yes, I hope Boozer doesn't screw up their title hopes. But if anyone on the Bulls screws them over when all is said and done, it would definitely be him.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Rose was amazing against Orlando. He through himself in their like Iverson and kept getting up. Guess what D-Ho's line looked like? All Zeros. Way to come through for your team.

I don't think we'll look at a Rose MVP like we do that Nash ones. At the beginning of this year I'd have laughed at you if you told me in 2 years someone other than LeBron or KD was the best player in the NBA. Rose could truly be that guy.

Maybe he was 'amazing' because Howard wasn't playing... ?

I have no idea, I didn't see the game.

If you haven't read the latest Simmons, he makes a great case for Rose as MVP. I have no problem with Rose as the MVP, it's just that I continue to be floored by Durantula getting NO talk as even being a top 3 candidate. I get that Westbrook is great too, but people are still talking about LBJ and he's lined up next to D-Wade & Bosh so wtf gives.

Simmmons also made an even better case for why Howard should NOT be the MVP. I am now bumping Kobe up to #3 on my fake ballot.

LBJ is generally considered the best player in the NBA. If OKC was #1 in the West or the league KD would be right there with Rose.

I'm sure Rose would have had a tougher time if Howard had played. Maybe Dwight should have thought of that before he racked up yet another technical.

(and yes I know you are just egging me on):pinch:

To be fair though, if you guys didn't already know and check this guys site out, he has an irrational love for K-Lav. In all seriousness, he's like any of us here that love K-Lav, but times 1000. If you read old articles on his site, he basically has said that K-Lav is the best player in the NBA, has said Love should win the MVP all season long, is putting up the most historic stats ever, etc etc etc. Stuff like that. So yeah, he likes K-Lav for MVP in that post, but you need to know some background about the guy. I'm honestly not trying to discount anything from the article at all. Plus the visualizations and graphs are cool.

it's all in his flawed statistical model. Even I think it's ridiculous. I think he had Kris Humphries ranked as a top 10 player in the league, or at least labeled an "elite superstar player" (along with Tyson Chandler)earlier this year.

The creativity in his presentation is great, but it's really hard to take anything seriously he says if he is saying the above. Obviously Love isn't the best player in the league. More like 3rd or 4th.

Yep, I couldn't agree more with you. I really truly enjoy his presentation of stuff, but the guy is a total kook.
