Have I missed this thread or something? Ya'll ain't on top of these playoffs? shit, I'm loving it.

Man, I'm soooo amped for these playoffs. Round one is ALREADY that deal. I got money on straight underdogs. I'm with the new guard. Celtics and Lakers need to wrap it up.

Eastern Conference

Round one

Bulls v. Pacers – No insight here. Should be over in four.

Miami v. Philly – Here is what I sent my buddy last week: “Philly has a good chance to win a few, I guess. They are a surprisingly good team so there’s no reason to believe they won’t win a few. Miami in 6 is my guess.” Funny, huh. Currently Miami is winning by, what seems to be 50 points. Philly ain’t there yet. 4 and out.

Boston v. NY – I’m not a believer in NY yet. They don’t have it yet. They are on the come up, though. Boston might be done, but they’ll get to at least the second round. I guess Boston in 6. This is/was my guess even before KG’s alley-oop and Ray’s dagger three.

Orlando v. ATL – Dwight in 7. Orlando’s roster is garbage. Atlanta has no depth. It won’t surprise me to see Atlanta win. Dwight is amazing defensively. He’ll just get better. He’ll end up being the best modern day defender ever. That’s my guess. He’s also a crybaby and doesn’t work on his offensive game. FYI, I’d take Hakeem, Robinson, and Shaq over him, in their primes.

Round two

Bulls v. Orlando – Bulls in 6. Too good.

Celtics v. Miami - Celtics in 7.

Eastern Finals

Celtics v. Bulls – Bulls in 6. Too good. Rondo has been figured out by the league. He’s good, no doubt. But I overestimated him. He’s not better than Rose, Dwill, or CP3.

Western Conference

Round one

Spurs v. Memphis – Memphis in seven. I’m cheating since I’ve already seen the Spurs lose game one. Hate em. They’ll lose. Good luck with that injury Manu.

Lake Show vs. NO – Lake show in 7. They are old and done, I think. CP3 is going to keep wearing them out. Kobe is old. awesome.

Dallas v. Portland – Dallas in 7. Maybe the most interesting series. Could go either way, right? Gerald Wallace and Aldridge are bad matchups for Nowitzi. Maybe enough for the upset…

Thunder v. Nuggets – Thunder in 6. My dudes. I phucks with The Thunder. Serge Ibaka is that dude. Harden’s beard goes hard.Ya’ll can’t be serious about Ibaka not becoming Dwight’s lil’ clone.

Round two

Memphis v. Thunder – Thunder in five. Wraps for Memphis

Dallas v. Lake Show - Lake Show in seven. Gasol gets used by Dirk and Kobe punches him in the face.

Western Finals

Thunder v. Lakers – Thunder in seven.

FINALS

Thunder v. Bulls – Thunder in SEVEN!!!!!

By the way, I'm still rooting for the Celtics to win it all. Don't sleep. I just couldn't put my loot there.

And I assume this will be the last game called by Chris Webber. He's horrible. Get McHale in there.

Love it. I just came here for the 1st time since Friday & couldn't believe no one was talking playoffs except The Daddy just now. People would really rather talk Wolves offseason? My mind = blown.

I love that you said Orlando in 7, because I literally just bet Orlando +800 to win the series 4 games to 3. That and Indiana to win this game outright +430. By the time yall read this Indy will have folded no doubt, especially since I just jinxed my bet.

Celtics ending was awesome. Every year they have an exciting ass 1st round series, its fantastic (wait, I guess they handled the Heat last year, my bad). JON THANK GOD, I still feel like they have a chance to win it all with him producing. Rondo looked subpar. Melo's last shot made me LOL. How could Amare not have been pissed about that?

Memphis' win over the Spurs was so fun to watch. Maybe it's just cuz McHale was going HAM on the announcing, but it was pure enjoyability in this house. I really love & respect that way Memphis hustles hard & plays old school inside out basketball.

Lakers & Gasoft HAHAHAHAHA.

Thunder/Nuggets ohhhhhh what a series this will be. I don't wanna miss a game.

Bulls offense is not that good people. They are gonna have trouble after this round. I give them a less than 20% chance of winning it all. I put Miami, LA, and Boston all ahead of them, and the Thunder & Spurs barely below them. No one else matters this year in the grand scheme of things.

Yessssss go THUNDA and Celtics! That was my pre-season prediction for the Finals this year, and I'm sticking with it my peeps.

Would be ecstatic if either of those teams won the 'ship.

It's not damn fair that the Thunder and Nuggs have to play each other in the first round. What a waste. If they were playing Portland and Dallas, the Thunder and Nuggs would both advance, and would have made the rest of the WC playoffs waaaaay more exciting.

Really like the Memphis team. Hopefully they can advance. I give them about a 50-50 shot. Spurs are old and injured.

Would be epic if the Lakers go down. They won't though. Unfortunately.

Hope the C's have one last run in them. They could lose in the 2nd round or anytime after, sadly. They should get past the Nuggicks though.

Magic will prolly still win it. That team is a paper tiger though. D-Ho is ALL they've got. He's like the new KG of his team. And yes, I concur he will be known as one of the best defensive players ever.

Tryin to tell ya'll Rose isn't the MVP because that offense sucks. They ended up finishing like 20th rated offense this season. The real reason that team is so good is because of their defense/Thibs, and Rose isn't even a very good defender. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating here... and I love Rose. But he isn't the MVP. Durant or D-Ho.

Great post Daddy, thanks. ALWAYS love your NBA insight and tidbits. Top notch. Same with Bonk, of course. But you already know that.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

How did the Lakers forget to abuse Carl Landry? He looked just silly giving up like 50+ pounds and 5 inches to Bynum.

I love that after all the moving and shaking on that Orlando roster the the only two players who show up for them are Howard and Nelson. So weak.

The 76ers have been much better at home. It'd almost be worse for the Heat if they roll over in 4 games. That will leave them less prepared for the next round.

Nuggets really hung in there even when Durant was killing it. Anything less than that from KD and the Nuggets pull that one out.

Toney Douglas is going to have to play over his head if the Knicks are going to stay with Boston. I want the Celtics to win that series but big games in NYC should be fun.

There was an abundance of really bad 3's taken with plenty of time to get a better shot to end games in the last 2 days.

Approx:
Reporter - "How concerned are you about Collison's injury"
Indiana Coach "Very. We've relied on him all year. I hope it isn't serious"

What Rambis would have said "It is what it is, you have to play with who you've got available. Injuries happen."

Which guy would you want to play for.

Another possible Rhombus response: "Who's this 'Collison' guy? We just need a few veterans in here and we should be good to go."

Thunder/Nuggets is the best series. It has the feel of college basketball with nba talent thanks to the no-star Nuggets. If everyone played like them the nba would be way better.

I'm so sad they have to play each other in the first round. :(

Knicks fans are really getting it in the gut. Man.

What is it about the Mavs/Blazers series? I watched most of the game but the most interesting part was waiting to see if Jason Kidd was going to throw up on the bench. That is the weakest link.

Brandon Roy. Dead.

Well, so much for your assertion Roundhouse. Denver - 15, OKC - 38.

Grumpy ol' Man KG = savvy vet for the hook shot and steal to seal it.

More thoughts to come. Must now concentrate on more important things...or shall I say things that determine my livelihood. Definitely NOT more important than the NBA playoffs and my sexual arousal at Kung Fu KG's hook shot.

Can you imagine Amare Stoudamire, an OLD Duncan or KG, Dirk, or any other big man worth a darn putting up the craptastic performances Gasoft is turning in? Carl Landry is sodomizing this man over and over again.

I never said the Nuggets were going to win, just that they are fun to watch.

WOW. This is as dominant of a playoff game as I can remember (if you ignore the turnovers). Boston looks AWESOME. NYC looks the opposite of awesome. They look Bosh-ish.

There is soooo much to be said of the chemistry, defensive rotations, trust, and the communication between the coaches and players on a great team. No matter what D'Antoni yells at his players, HE has to take the blame for his team's inability to flip the switch in these situations. I all but guarantee that a team led by this man will never win the chip'.

Carmelo, Amare, and those guys ARE coachable. They do listen to D'Antoni. He just hasn't instilled the habits of a sound defensive team or a disciplined offensive team.

The Celtics, however, do have all of that. It helps that Ray turned into a gritty, defensive player as did Pierce and so, along with Rondo and KG they have four players who talk and instill winning habits into the team. KG's team defense has been masterful tonight. I also must admit that Pierce (the one player on the team I don't like) has looked like the best defensive and offensive player in the league.

That said, the turnovers by the Celtics are stupid. For as disciplined as they are tonight defensively, they are not so on offense, probably because they are up by 73 points.

I'm flipping to the ATL/ORL game as well. JJ is putting in work. At halftime he has 20+ points. They are setting some Boston-esque screens for him. Pachulia is still awesome. He is the most reckless player ever. Love him.

As much as people are knocking the Knicks' roster outside of their trio, the Magic's roster is trash. Arenas (I still love him) is bad right now. Jason Richardson has no confidence (remember how good he was last year with Nash...), Hedo is trash, Jameer is average.

Lololol at the Pachulia/Howard/J-Rich "fight." Pachulia is such a punkass biotch. I love it!

The Magic suck besides Howard. The Hawks could very well win this series. How badass was Crawford's banked in 26 footer at the very end!?! :woohoo:
