I can't BELIEVE B Diddy didn't get named to the All-Star team! David West over Baron? Really?!? No one reppin Golden State? 22 pts, 8 assists, 5 boards, the floor leader, a good defender, top tier in the league in steals, top tier at your position for blocks, on a top 10 team, and you don't even make the all-star game?!??! Ridiculous. He got the shaft.

Whoa now. Baron Davis may have been snubbed, but don't go knocking David West over that. West actually does deserve to go to the All-Star Game, given his consistent production (fractions under 20-10 for the season) and prominent role on the #1 team in the Western Conference. Davis may be a more exciting player, but GS isn't playing as well as the Hornets, and that was probably the deciding factor given the fact that there are just a lot of deserving players in the West who have valid claims to All-Star status (as Al Jefferson knows all too well).

Brandon Roy over Davis may be more questionable, and maybe even Iverson (I'm still not sure why he's starting), but I think it's tough to say that anybody in the group selected doesn't belong, even given the guys left out.

There are too many good guys in the West for them all to go. It's a shame, especially since the East is sooooo shytty.


Guys that deserved to go, but the roster can only be 12:

Baron Davis - All the reasons you mentioned above, except for the fact that he's a good defender because he's not really. Still, I would have taken him over Roy and probably over West.

Camby - How does the leading rebounder AND shot blocker in the entire league not make it?

Al Jefferson - One of only two players averaging 20+ points and 12+ boards. Still, I guess I agree with the fact that our team is too crappy. HOWEVER, can you honestly tell me that he would have made it if we were .500? I doubt it... and that would have been a true snub. Oh well, don't have to worry about that hypothetical anytime soon.
