As a former Texan, let me take a moment to defend Manu. Go check out his 40 minute stats and get back to me. The guy is a legit MVP candidate. Seriously. Top 5 player.

Yes, I agree the Manu is UNDERrated. Other guys on my list besides he and my #1 choice, Deron Williams, would be: Caron Butler, Allen Iverson (this season only), David Lee, Baron Davis (in the last 12 months, playoffs included, he's been a top 5 player), and Rajon Rondo (many view him as the Celtics biggest hole/weakness, I think this is absurd. Dude can ball).

THE MOST UNDERRATED PLAYER EVER: Hakeem the Dream Olajuwon.

His first 11 seasons in the league (after that he went downhill fast) he averaged about the following: 11.5 boards, just under 3 assists, just under 2 steals, over 3 blocks, and 25pts. Shaq is quoted as saying he couldn't sniff The Dream's jockstrap in his prime and we all know how he scooped the sand out of the Admiral's youknowwhat after his MVP snub.

Bottom line, the Dream is the most talented center to ever play the game in this modern era. Russell and Wilt are impossible to compare against the Dreams and Shaq's of this era because their defenders were 6'6 and terrible (not to take anything away from their excellence).
Someone give me any sort of reasoning why the Dream isn't the most talented center of 80' and 90's...I dare ya.
