OK, CW, I didn't catch that it was a link. Regardless, there is obviously more to Derek Fisher's game than stats. His best scoring years were the two when he played for Golden State. None of his numbers are impressive: 8.7 pts, 3 assist, 2 rebounds and a steal a game - these are not HOF stats.
So, forgive me, my brother, from jumping you a bit. I do get tired of the "haters" sometimes - OK, often. Success does have a tendency to breed contempt. Usually, the contemptous are also clueless. You, obviously, are not. (Am I sucking up enough yet?)
For me, it's not so much about Fisher getting traded as it about that I wish he could have gone out on his own. I thought it was the end of an era when he left for GS, then he returned and so did the Laker fortunes. Sure, they got Gasol and Odom, but would they have had similar success with another PG? I tend to think that the only answer is an emphatic "NO!"
For you guys, even if he only played 20 min or so per game, I think it would benefit your young team.
Help me out here, too, please - what is the problem with Beasley? Is it that he is having trouble with coming off the bench or what? You might recall that the Lakers had a somewhat similar situation with Odom. Lamar had never, ever in his entire life NOT been a starter. He comes off the bench and has one of his most effective seasons ever - if not the best! I've picked up and dropped Beasley twice - on each of my fantasy teams! If he is making me that crazy as one of my role guys, what is he doing to you?
