Come on, we all know Barry was headed right back to the Spurs. I bet Sonics GM Sam Presti, Spurs GM (don't know his name), and Barry were the only ones told so everyone else could claim they don't know anything about it.

Presti used to work for the Spurs so they knew they could trust each other.

How convenient that Barry was traded to make the money work, who is injured right now and could use a month off to get healthy and ready for the playoffs.

So Barry went through the motions for appearance sake of being interested in the Suns.

It's funny because there is absolutely no way to prove it. If the Twolves would have just been smart about the Joe Smith deal, and Stack would keep his mouth shut there is nothing that can be done. Yet another reason why the Spurs always win, they're just smarter.

Well yeah... of course it was. The key is that they made it *look* like it wasn't. They passed that test with flying colors. Barry even went so far as to let Steve Kerr try to court him. Kerr flew him to Phoenix (I believe that's what happened. Or Kerr flew to Barry, not that it matters) and Barry \"listened\" to the Suns offer.

He even pretended like he was going to take some time to decide where he was gonna go.

That's how you successfully complete under the table deals. Glen Taylor and McHale could learn a thing or two...
