Personally n this is just me, i rather draft a big guy, yet i still wouldnt draft for need. If it came down to one or the other, id still go for Rose.. But if Beasilly was available go for him its a 50 50 for me. I still think our main off season goal is to get a center.

I think you can get by with out a big man...we have a great big man now and I think a servicable center would be fine...there is nothing other than a PG that would be worth the Wolves pick this year...if we can't get the PG we need than trade the pick because we would probably pass on Beasly and take this guy....

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh NOOOOOO THE AGONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it would be agony...it kind of reminds me of Cherokee Parks or god forbid Christian Laetner...but McHale loves big white guys and this could happen...bloody nose and all...How many times are the going to show that promo on ESPN???? ACK!!!

To be fair to McHale... the Twolves famous (among it's fans) rep of drafting horrible big white guys was a pre-McHale phenomenon.

The McHale special is to have the guy who fits the wolves needs and is a safe pick fall into our laps AND proceed to not draft him (Ndudi Ebi, Rashad McCants and Randy Foye instead of Josh Howard, Brandon Roy, and Danny Granger).

I would disagree with that in the case of Roy/Foye. In that case, I think the Wolves actually drafted for need with Foye (thinking of him as a PG) rather than taking the consensus \"best player available\" in Roy.

So, for all those who've been unhappy about the way that draft turned out, the lesson of drafting for need may be something to keep in mind if you're clamoring for Rose over Beasley.

I don't see drafting Rose as \"drafting for need\", though. I actually think he will become the better NBA player... because he makes his teammates better. Beasley seems to me, from watching him in a couple games, to be a strong individual talent.

I'm absolutely enamored with Rose's play and I'm really pulling for him to land in Minnesota.

I've liked Rose all season long, but I will admit Beasley is playing out of his mind. He's got a better season going than Durant did last year.

I don't think we could go wrong with either guy. #3 or worse is when it really gets dicey.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."
