1. New England Patriots (4-0) - Shocking to see them at number 1 I know. Still have yet to be troubled by another team. The only teams I could really concieve them losing to are Indy and Dallas

2. Indianapolis Colts (4-0) - Their defense looked pretty bad against the run again, but the Denver run game is pretty great. The offense looked top notch against a team with a good pass defense.

3. Dallas Cowboys (4-0) - Go look at their schedule. If they beat the Patriots in two weeks they could probably go 16-0. The NFC is just too terrible. They do play Green Bay but despite their record they don't seem to be in the same league as the Cowboys.

4. Green Bay Packers (4-0) - Right after I diss them I add them. It's true I'm not really a believer yet. Their defense is pretty good but can Brett Farve and Donald Driver lead their no name offense much longer? I see them beating Chicago next week and then losing a squeaker to Washington the week after that.

T-5. Seattle Seahawks (3-1) and Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1) - Both teams have lost to the Cardinals and I haven't seen much of them this year so I can't really choose between the two. This is kind of a cop-out since they play each other next week and I can just play it safe now and have them tied. I say let the players decide who is the better team. As for a prediction....I say Pittsburgh.

Honorable Mentions -

Cardinals - Not looking good for my niners as the Cards crushed two teams that crushed my guys.
Buccaneers - I knew they would win, but the lose of Cadillac could be costly. Lets see what they are made of against Indy next week.
Lions - I am still not a believer...I don't really know what it will take for me to think they are good...probably a lobotomy.

Who dey? -

Browns - Call me crazy, but they could spoil some play-off hopes for a few teams and might just sneak in themselves.
Raiders - Can Culpepper play that inspired every week? Two game winning streak for the first time in 300 years.
Giants - Sure they still don't seem very good...but the NFC sucks and they could ride a wave of wins and make some noise. Can they beat the mighty Jets next week? Probably.

Congratulations -

Derek Anderson - You are 2-1 as a starter and would be 3-0 if your kicker could make a FG. I personally want to see you with a strong performance at NE next week.
Saints - You didn't lose this week...way to stop the bleeding. Now if you can't beat the Panthers as led by David Carr...
Chiefs and Raiders - You are tied for the division lead and ahead of San Diego. I don't think anyone would have predicted this.
Me - You finally won a Fantasy Football game this year. So what if they guy isn't paying attention to the league and had 3 bye week players playing.

Games to watch out for next week -

Seattle v. Pittsburgh

New England v. Cleveland; Tampa Bay v. Indianapolis - Potential upsets?

Titans v. Atlanta - Can Joey Harrington pull out another win and continue to play well? This game will be a good test.

Wow... I love how your initial \"Top 5\" list has morphed into a weekly NFL post of awesomeness review. I enjoy.

You are obviously a pretty smart football mind, so I pretty much agree with your top five list yet again:

1) New England
2) Indy
3) Dallas
4) Green Bay
5) Detroit - What a drop off... so many \"ugh\" teams. There's probably at least five (or more) teams that you could pick for this spot.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

A few predictions for next week because I am bored:

NE beats Cleveland: but it is a closer game than anyone would really expect going in. Cleveland has a quick start like usual but NE defense buckles down and they eventually win by 10 or so.

TB beats Indianapolis: Before you drown me with ridicule hear me out. First off, Indy suffered some key injuries and I don't know if any of the people will play or not but they probably won't be 100% if they do. TB's defense will arguably be the best they've played yet and they will be playing a QB with enough experience to not throw stupid throws in Cover 2. I'm not saying Garcia won't throw a pick, but he has more saavy as of right now then the other 4 QBs.

The only problem will be the lack of Cadillac, but...The Colts D is so light that to beat them on the run you need to have your lineman bully them. If the lineman can create holes anyone can run on the Colts.

NE will definitely win, they are going 19-0. :side:

Good thoughts on the TB upset of Indy. TB is tough this year, however the loss of Cadillac hurts them... a lot. Where is the game? I don't see TB winning if the game is in Indy, maybe at home though.

It's in Indy. Another reason I think TB will have a decent shot is because they have 3 players at least on the defensive side of the ball (Ronde Barber, Cato June and Derrick Brooks) who all played under Dungy and his system so they will be able to help the offense prepare more for the Cover 2 defense that seems to baffle almost every team.

Of course I may be reading too much into it and they could get killed.

It's in Indy, and Pettigout and Cadillac are out for the season. I'm not saying TB will get killed, but I really think the Colts will win this. Like I said, maybe if it was in TB...

As much as I'd love a Colts loss, I just don't see it. But stranger things have certianly happened and I'm no expert as evidenced by my horrible picks record this week.

New England will win by 20+

The Daddy can't wait to see Moss and TO try to one-up each other all game. Moss is going to own TO though...motivation.

His catch last night was ridiculous. He just makes catches....

19-0

On another note, Troy Williamson caught a nice pass too, except he was out of bounds. Still a great move in retrospect huh?

I am also quite excited for this game.

WOW, howls to you my friend on a FINE post! I agree with Derok's top 5, there's really nothing to argue about until #5 because of the surprising dominance shown in Dallas an GB respectively.

How about SD...wtf?? You should start doing a big 3 losers each week. Hopefully the Vikings won't be on there too many times :) (okay they will)

I concur with that. You will become our version of Peter King.

I'll start doing a Big 3 losers next week, but I'll probably include both individuals and teams
