How can the MN media continue to consider the Vikes a title contender without a QB? Hopefully Sage and/or Jackson turn to be average this year, providing us with at least a middle of the road QB...How depressing...

No doubt. It's so much more depressing than the TWolves because the Vikes could be *right there.*

Sigh. :(

As well as Jared Allen has played I wonder if his deal has hurt us from an opportunity cost perspective. Given the shear number of good players an NFL team needs to be good you can't make more than one big sign and trade type deal in a 3-5 year span or you start seeing holes elsewhere. Would the Vikings be a better team With Matt Cassell or Jay Cutler as their QB than having Jared Allen top pass rusher?

I don't know enough about those two QB's to say yeah or ney.

Good question.

The thing is, the Vikes could (presumably) have improved their QB situation on top of having Jared Allen. I don't think his deal is the sole reason for us going into the season with TJack/Sage.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Yeah I don't think it is the sole reason, but I have to imagine its factored in.

Sidebar: Am I the only one who doesn't think Percy Harvin is going to make even 25% of the splash the Star Trib seems to be preparing us for?
