Roy Williams tried to hand him his pads to carry in for him and he refused, setting off this mini controversy. Since I'm so opinionated I thought I would share my thoughts on the matter.

I've never been a fan of freshman/rookie hazing, BUT I can see how it would be good for the NFL considering the huge sums of money these rookies are making (knocks them down a peg or two after signing contracts that are way too large). It's considered a way for them to gel with the team (off how well they handle it) which is important before the season, and I don't hate it when it's stuff like carrying pads, buying donuts, and stupid haircuts. They can get out of control though.

I wonder if this would have been a problem if any other player besides Roy Williams had done it. Considering those two are essentially fighting for a job. Bryant is essentially on the field trying to prove that he's better than Williams (and probably believes he is better) so I can understand his disrespected mentality, when Williams tries to make him do stuff.

I still think the best way to act out against it is not the way he's doing it as it causes too much tension. He should wait until he's a veteran and then not participate in the hazing if he truly doesn't appreciate it. Something tells me he will conveniently forget about his principles in about 5 years.

A lot of people/writers are applauding Bryant, but I agree with Ryan.

Especially because of all the retarded contracts these 1st rounders are getting.

It's not like they were trying to tie him to a tree naked and leave him there overnight. Is it that bad to carry someone's pads? I don't think so.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I'm very distrustful of Dez Bryant. He hasn't played a game and he's already had three national someones picking on me stories.

1. Lying to investigators, he was just a scared kid (working out with Deion Sanders thing)
2. Asked if his mom was a prostitute during combine
3. Refused to take part in rookie hazing (if you'd call that hazing).

He and Ole Shaddy McCants would be fast friends I'm guessing.

I get that Jones didn't want to pass on the "next Randy Moss", but man, Dez is making rookie Moss look like a saint back then.
