This is a couple days old, but I wanted to see what some of you guys think of Syracuse and Pitt joining the ACC.
I've been a big St. John's fan since before Metta World Peace went there. As a result, I've fallen in love with Big East basketball. The rivalries in that conference are outstanding and storied, and there's no NCAA conference tournament better than the Big East tourney at MSG. It's insane to think of the tournament without Syracuse, considering all the memorable moments they've had in recent years. I know the move is because of football and money, but this all just sucks. At least Duke and UNC have a little competition now and won't look so studly heading into postseason play.
To top it off, I saw that the ACC commissioner is considering having the ACC tournament held at Madison Square Garden. What a slap in the face to steal two of the Big East's best programs and then immediately talk about butting in to share the most famous hoops arena in the world.
This conference realignment crap is getting ugly, and this is only the tip of the iceberg.
