I don't know, what you know `bout Soccer, but ManU isn't just any club, it's the richest club in the world, the record champion in England . They won the Championsleague (resp. the former form of it) already 3 times. And only last year they were Finalist again. It's the first time in history, that a former Finalist can get over group stage. IIt's so fucking fantastic. It's like a injured last years Minny team (let's say with a starting 5: Flynn, Ridnour, Webster, Pekovic, Darko) sweaping the Bill Russels Celtic or the Us Basketball-Olympic-Team in a 7-games-series. It's surreal, .... but: not really, because they nearly won already in Manchester a couple of weeks ago. And they have really I nice bunch of talent in place at the moment.
For me it's even sweater then 1. qualification for the second round in 2002 (last 16, only not qualified `cause of the goaldiffernce), because they had to win this time (even when the direct battle against Liverpool - 3:3 - to eliminate then, was also a great one...) and because they made 11 points this time, i.e. where beaten only once!!!

Hey I care! Watched the whole game. Basel deserved to win this game.

I watched the 1st half. It was pretty impressive. Rooney blew a goal on a nice cross early.

Wow, that is just insane. Congrats on your team's victory... that is really awesome! What an epic win that was. Especially since I am a Liverpool fan myself and hate Man U. Screw them hahahaha!

Yes I really think if you're able to mark 5 goals in two Champions League Games against Man U, and you're even able to get a remy against a strong Benfica in Lissabon, then you can consider it's not only undeserved.

It's true that there was quite a bunch of luck in yesterday's win, but on the other hand, beneath this one scene of Rooney, Man U wasn't neither urgent nor efficent nor eminently creative. Basel did a well job staying organized on the defensive side and beeing dangerous in the offense.

This maybe would also be a nice recepee for the Wolves this year

But right now 2011 is quite a good sports year: Swiss Champion, Nice Champions campaign, Lynx won championship, Rubio has come, Lockout's over, Rambust fired, Adelman's following: I'm really looking forward to 2012

By the way: I just read, that the out in the Champions League would cost Man U `bout 60 Mio Dollars. That's twice a much, as the yearly bugdet of my FC Basel is

I just learned, that Man U was a Champions League Finalist 3 times in the last 4 years, winning it all 2007. This makes this win even more spectacular.

It's like D12 an CP3 wouldn't be interested in Money and/or big markets and decide to sit out the year and to play in Minny for actually no Money.....

Then I believe we had a nice chance on Championship....

They are so close now in writting Swiss Soccer History (the FCB was already 2-times in the round of sixteen in the CL (resp. in the former Cup of the the champions), but no Swiss them ever got it to the quarterfinals....

This was the hardest sports-night ever. We had won 2-0 at home, and made an away goal. And then:
they killed us in 46 minutes.... making the last and deciding goal in the last minute of the game



But it's not the same team, now. It's possible, I guess...

Man, this wasn't my week, sporting wise

First Ricki's out for the season, then SJAX & O.J. Majo are gone as Trade opportunity (they wan't C.J. Miles, really?) and then this desaster yesterday with my soccer team.

Well, they really really played horrible yesterday. Both wing defenders (Park, Steinhöfer) plus the defensive middlefielder (Xhaka) simply were inexistent. And I don't think it's really the case, that the Bayern played overly good, no yesterday the FCB simply sucked. They needed 59 Minutes! to get the first (of only two) yellow cards, and that even wasn't a real foul! Common!

(And then there was pity, too - if the offside goal (4:0) wouldn't have been counted & the regular goal of Basel would have counted, then the score would have been 3:1, i.e. only one goal away from a victory. But sincerly, it wasn't the day for the FcBasel & they really didn't earn it yesterday)

But I'm o.k. with the FCB it's always the same: pure drama. If they win, they win in dramatic fashion, & if they lose it's no other...

It's like beeing a Minny Fan: They have a devasting loss again, or another backbreaking injury, or another unluck in lottery, or another unfortunate devolpement in the trades - it doesn't matter:

If you're a fan, you're fan. And in the end, it's not the sucess that connects us with our team:
