Timberwolves coach Randy Wittman said he would like to invite former
Michigan State point guard Mateen Cleaves and former Iowa forward Ryan
Bowen to training camp after they played well for the team in the Las
Vegas summer league.

Although Troy Hudson has a reputation for playing wildly, there is
something to be said about a player who scores in bunches. A real
concern with the current group is bench scoring (Dorell? Penny? Smush?
Daequan?), which makes it somewhat confounding that the Heat hasn't
taken a harder look at a player willing to play for the minimum.
