Congrats to Stephen Litel for winning last week's battle of the bloggers.

The Minnesota Timberwolves open their 2007 Training Camp on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the team's practice facility inside Target Center. Media availability for Saturday's practice will begin at 12:15 p.m. The Wolves will spend the next portion of their 2007-08 preseason overseas with stops in Istanbul, Turkey and London, England. The Timberwolves are participating in the 2007 NBA Europe Live presented by EA Sports along with the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors.

Paul Pierce on the Wolves/Celtics exhibition game in London:
"There are going to be a lot of emotions in the game because of the guys that have been traded," said Celtics star Paul Pierce.
"No one likes to be traded."

As part of NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS(tm), the Minnesota Timberwolves will continue the NBA's commitment to global social responsibility by hosting three NBA Cares projects, leaving a lasting legacy in the community of Istanbul.

Hoops And Other Pop Culture with a real estate listing rumored to be Garnett's MN home.

Dime Magazine puts Corey Brewer on their preseason all-rookie team.
General consensus says the Wolves will be the worst team in the League, but Brewer is one of the few bright spots. Watch him this year to see the beginning of his development into a lock-down defender, a la Andre Iguodala in his first couple seasons as a pro.

Shoals/Fanhouse on Gerald Green:
Green's entering his third season, and has yet to prove himself as anything but a world-class physical talent. If he doesn't find a definite role in Minnesota, his career might also fizzle out. At least he'll always have that ill-begotten Dunk Contest crown to keep him warm at night.
