Wolvympic Basketball. Howl!!!!

Written by Pants on .

Entering the Olympics it seemed like the Wolves fans were going to miss out on a marquee final with American USA Basketball Stud versus G.O.A.T. Euro PG God. Well we will miss out on that with Rubio out but @#$k Spain, it is Russia's time to shine!

AK47

Game 1:

Alexey Shved: 16 pts, 13 asts, and 3 steals versus the Brits. HOLY CRAP THAT IS AWESOME!

Andrei Kirilenko: 35, 3 blks and 2 steals. Take it easy on em big fella. Maybe run like a hyena instead of a deer.

Kevin Love: 14 points in 14 minutes versus France ( 7 more points than Nikki "Dead to me" Batum).

Game 2:

Alexy Shved: 14 pts, 6 asts, and 3 steals versus the Chinese. Solid.

Andrei Kirilenko: 16 pts, 9 rebs and 4 steals. Pacing himself. Smart.

Kevin Love: 16 pts in 17 min versus Tunisia.

Game 3:

Alexy Shved: 17 points, 6 assists and a tying 3 with less than 30 seconds left in a HUGE game against Brazil. Freaking awesome. Granted he was a little careless with the ball and did pile up assists. Shved showed he has the first step to get by NBA caliber guards in this one.

Andrei Kirilenko: 19 points and a smattering of other solid stats. Continues to be the best player on what could be the surprise 2nd best team.

Kevin Love: 15 points in the laugher against Nigeria.

Wolves fans need to be in a lather about how the Russians are playing. Top form.

@WallyWorld I would have included him all the way down but he had the nerve to finally have a good game yesterday.

Andrei Kirilenko putting up some sick ass stats though. I hope he can keep it up next year back in the NBA Twolves might finnally win something!

I hate Kahn almost as much as I hate my job.  Good article though, I'm excited for our Ruskies.

Ha yea, i guess i gotta give our idiot gm at least a little credit here. At least we'll should be decent this year.

@fire david kahn Yeah, for sure. I don't like the Kahman either, but I have to admit he's made some decent moves lately. Or maybe it was Adelman demanding what he do. Whatever. At least we'll be better.

@CollegeWolf  @fire david kahn Mainly he stopped waiting for the big score to fall in his lap. You can argue that it was the perfect timing to do so because he has 3 young guys to build a contender around (Rubio, Love and Peko) which wasn't the case until this off-season.

@Pants80 In defense of Kahn still being a terrible GM though, every Minnesota fan would have drafted Ricky #5. At least, every one with a shred of a brain.

@CollegeWolf  @Pants80  @fire In the NBA one good move can trump a whole s#%it ton of bad ones. Kahn has insisted on proving that to the nth degree. In Kahn's case that is getting Ricky to MN.

@Pants80 @fire david kahn Also true, I guess I can't dispute that either.
